The main piece of data they didn't account for was lake bottom profile. There needs to be deep water running sharply into shallow.

you could tell that video was fake from the beginning they really didnt even need to test it the amount of exploseves they used in the video would probably just be enough for an action figure!! ANYONE WHO FELL FOR THAT VID NEEDS TO WATCH MORE MYTHBUSTERS :)

well first of all the water in the lake is too deep. of course the wave isnt gona be surfable if its not breaking. How bout try it again in a lil more shallower water and see what happens. i bet if would be surfable then.
